5000 Book Bags For Haiti

Rockland school children and community volunteers will decorate boxes to collect 5000 book bags and school supplies for Haitian children on Saturday June 5. Boxes will be placed in schools located in Nanuet, Nyack, North Rockland and East Ramapo school districts and other designated locations beginning June 7.   Items collected will be hand-delivered in August to six cities in Haiti devastated by January’s massive earthquake.

WHEN: Saturday, June 5, 2010, 10 a.m. ‘€“ 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
