Nyack Weekender: First Friday of August

This weekend it’s First Friday and the Nyack Art Collective invites you to head “outdoors” for their group themed show. You can also head to the hills for the Sound of Music, check out the birds of New York State, or take a “buggy” hike. The Music in the Garden series concludes and there’s also salsa and a tribute to two ’70s music superstars.
What do you think of the Hudson? Nyack’s planners want to know! Take the survey and share your river views.

Friday

  • On the First Friday of each month, local businesses host art and music events.

  • The hills are alive with the Sound of Music presented by the Random Farms Kids’ Theater at the Tarrytown Music Hall. Fri at 11a & 7p, Sat at 1p & 7p, 13 Main St, Tarrytown.
  • Salsa and merengue the night away with the EV Band at Maura’s Kitchen. 9p, 81-83 S Broadway, Nyack.

Although we too often take it for granted, the Hudson River still has much to offer, today, and for future generations.

Take the Nyack Waterfront survey and share your river front ideas.

The Village of Nyack Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) wants to know: where do we go from here? They want to hear from residents, visitors, business owners and Hudson River fans throughout the region. Share your river views in a 10 minute online survey. Don’t delay: survey period closes mid-August.
