I just got back from Italy, and there are muni meters everywhere, from the smallest medieval villages to large cities. The biggest issue here I think is that people aren't used to them yet. Nobody was confused in Italy on how to park.

Not sure about the cost of meters. But, I hope the town also paid for the removal of the old meter stems. They have decapitated the old coin meters, but the sad stems still remain in some kind of strange tribute. No need to mourn their demise. I think we all have moved past that stage of grief. Everytime I see one, I tell myself they will be gone soon. I guess am just stuck in the denial phase.

Good Luck to NNAV....how about an open category for subjects not on your list ? I would like to comment on the "Fort Apache" appearance of the Police station on Franklin St. ...also the repaving of the streets in my neighborhood with gravel for a so-called Old Town look ....which effectively screwed up all skateboarding and roller blading and ball playing in front of our house....not kid friendly at all....who thought that this was a good way to spend money ? now after Winter, the street is a mess and the gravel look is patchy and the street needs pothole repair ...overall bad idea and a waste of time and money...Please put this in whatever file you like...once again good luck...Will
