New Look Needed For Nyack, Online

nyack websiteby Doug Foster

In a few weeks it will be a new year. And there will be a new administration in the village. And it’s about time we have a new website, too. The Village of Nyack is looking for volunteers to help upgrade the current Nyack.org website.

We hope to makeover Nyack.org into an easy to use online reference with minutes, agendas, announcements, etc. sporting a professional graphic design that reflects the character of the village.

Anyone with Web experience in content management systems like WordPress,  Drupal or Joomla is invited to help as well as graphic designers and writers who want to add new content to the site.

We plan to have an initial meeting at Village Hall in early January as a kick off.

Please contact Doug Foster (dougfoster@nyack.org) if you are interested in helping out.

Doug Foster is a trustee-elect for the Village of Nyack.

  1. Richard Kavesh says:

The village’s website is the electronic “gateway” for our village, the first impression that many of Nyack’s visitors and would-be visitors get.

Of course it can also be an invaluable source of information for those of us who live and work here, too.

Unfortunately, our website (like some of our streets and sidewalks) has fallen into a state of disrepair, so I am very grateful to Doug for his initiative and hope that Nyack’s best and brightest and most creative web experts will help him (us) create the best website of any municipality in Rockland County.

In a friendly spirit of trans-Hudson rivalry, let’s create a website that’s even better than Tarrytown’s.
