Part Time Work You Can Count On

The U.S. Census Bureau is now recruiting local residents for temporary part-time positions for the 2010 Census. The pay for field workers is $18 – $20 per hour. Working hours are flexible and the work is close to home.

Census takers’ jobs are excellent for retirees, college students, persons who want to work part-time, people between jobs and anyone who wants to earn extra money performing an important service for their community.

In order to apply to become a census worker you must pass a written test and be over 18 years of age. U.S. citizens are given preference. Census exams will be given in the local area in December and January. The exam and application process takes about 2 hours.

You must register to take the exam by calling 1 866-861-2010. More information about the 2010 Census and census jobs can be found on the web at www.2010censusjobs.gov.

Friends, this is GREAT work! I worked as an enumerator in Newark, New Jersey for the 1970 Census as a summer job, did a lot of walking, the hours were very flexible, and made very good money (by college standards). This is an ideal summer job, so tell your children, tell your friends, etc.
