Thanks Richard.

This will not be our last event. We would like to have a Marriage Equality Town Hall for the Hudson Valley in February or March.

Thanks, Cliff, to you and the dozens who braved the cold, wet, miserable conditions to stand up against injustice.

I still can't see how opponents of gay marriage call themselves friends of freedom. The Declaration of Independence says that "all men are created equal," we pledge allegiance to a flag that promises "liberty and justice for all," and the 14th Amendment guarantees due process of law and equal protection of the laws to all American citizens.

This is a battle that WILL be won. Some day all of you who were there on Sunday will be able to look back and say that you played a part in this cause of liberty, liberation, justice, and freedom.

Only then will America live up to the frieze on the front of the U.S. Supreme Court building: "Equal Justice Under Law."
