2009 Elections

NyackNewsAndViews.com has offered space on our Website to all of the candidates for Mayor and Village Board in Nyack. We’ve created a separate page for each of the following candidates, listed in alphabetical order:

Mayor of Nyack:

Denise Hogan, Richard Kavesh are running for office in the general election on November 3.

You can find campaign materials and discussion of the issues for former Democratic candidates Marie Lorenzini, Marianne Olive online.

Nyack Village Board: These candidates are running for two open seats in the November 3 general election.

Important dates:

  • The general election is Tuesday November 3.
  • Friends of the Nyacks hosted a Nyack mayoral candidates’ night on 9/1 and offers a virtual candidates’ forum online.   You can also see a video of the candidates forum at RocklandWorldRadio.
  • You can also see video interviews with the candidates for Village Board and Mayor at lohud.com. Click the “on demand” button below the video window and scroll down to select “Editorial Board Interview with Nyack Trustee” or “Nyack Mayoral candidates.”
  • THE DEALDINE FOR ABSENTEE BALLOTS HAS NOW PASSED. You can apply for an absentee ballot application for the 11/3 general election at the Rockland County Board of Elections. Applications must be postmarked by 10/9 and received by the board of elections by 10/14.
