There is even a podcast, as well as, a program that allows people to register to vote via text message. In addition, he has added an e-mail newsletter, which allows residents to receive up-to-the-minute information on all new programs and events from the convenience of their home or workplace. This is all in an effort to make the Clerk’s Office both user-friendly and as accessible as possible.

Another feature of our cutting edge website is that residents can now view proposed local laws right on line before they are discussed at the Town Board meetings. This new feature has allowed residents to review the proposed laws and decide which ones are of interest to them, and if they have any concerns or questions about the legislation, they can have their comments ready before the Town Board meetings. To save our residents money, you can now call your clerk for free via Skype. As Clarkstown Town Clerk, Carlucci has staggered the hours of the office to include evening and weekend hours. This has enabled many people wishing to apply for a marriage license, as well as many other licenses, to have the time to do so without having to take off time from work.

Carlucci is currently working on a project in which he received grant funding from the NYS Archives to digitize all of the records in the Town Clerk’s office dating back all the way to 1752. Many of these records are now available at www.clarkstownclerk.com. Carlucci is continuing to work to make as much of this newly digitized data as accessible to the public as possible. Carlucci states that it is his commitment to our residents and to future generations that Clarkstown is fitted with the infrastructure to take advantage of whatever technological advancement might become available.
