I am running on the same platform as Jen White. For more information about our campaign, please visit nyackfirst.org.
I moved to Nyack in the Spring of 2006. Even though I am relatively new to the area, my wife (Rosemary) and I were very deliberate in picking Nyack as the community we wanted to live in. Nyack has what is very important to us: a diverse population, a strong sense of community, a vibrant commercial core, and a traditional and pedestrian-friendly layout.
I got involved right after moving here, and want to use my professional and service experience to help improve our community. My professional background is in urban planning. I received my Masters degree from Cornell in 1990, and worked with the City of Ithaca Planning & Development Department for 10 years. In 2000 I branched out on my own, working as a database programmer, web developer and demographics expert. I also worked for two years at a national level in affordable housing and home ownership.
