jeff hinden, candidate for nyack schools board of educationI take pride in our community, and hope to make positive changes in our schools that will reflect in our children and our villages. Children are our greatest resource and future. It is important that they have the opportunity to grow and learn in a healthy and safe environment equipped with the tools for tomorrow.

I look forward to serving your needs on the Nyack Board of Education.

  • Communication: A prevalent concern in our district has been the issue of communication between the administration, the school board and the public. This has led to misunderstandings, anger and upset for people on both sides of the discussion. Full transparency, disclosure and timely notification of events, decisions and issues, can help bridge the gaps in information.
  • Health Concerns: The health and wellness of our children is a great concern. This spans from healthier and more nutritious school foods and snacks, activities for our children where they can exercise, to education in health and nutrition that empowers our children to live healthier
