Help Me, Michelle
Hey Michelle, I hear you’re committed to fighting childhood obesity. Can you lend a hand?
I’ve been trying to quash bad food practices at my daughter’s elementary school for several months, and I’m not talking about cafeteria food because that’s a bigger fight. I’ve simply been trying to get the school principal and the “wellness committee” to eliminate junk food in the classroom.
You’d think I was calling for the end of the slide ruler or the No. 2 pencil.

Nyack HS Drama: My Favorite Year
NYACK – If you think what’s happening today with the intrigue and controversy over late-night comedy and variety shows is funny, that’s nothing compared to the hilarious antics that went on when TV was young and live variety shows were making their transition from radio.
The award-winning Nyack High School Drama Club has selected the musical comedy “My Favorite Year” as its 2010 Spring production, bringing to the stage a hilarious look at live television in the 1950s. To support the production, the parent volunteers of the DramaWorks organization have invited the community to participate in a pre-show luncheon on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Nyack High School, Christian Herald Road and Route 9W, Upper Nyack.
