Nyack Nov 26 — South Nyack’s entrance ramp to the Tappan Zee Bridge on South Broadway will be closed each night this week to permit deck replacement work to continue on the TZB. The Exit 10 Thruway entrance will be closed from 8p-6a Mon-Thu and from 9p-6a on Friday.

Do you refuse to believe there will ever be a new Tappan Zee Bridge until you actually see it? While we wait to hear if the wait to cross the bridge will ever get shorter (it won’t), here are some ways to make that turtle-paced crawl more endurable. South Nyack’s Comprehensive Plan is getting support from the Hudson River Valley Greenway in the form of a $7500 matching grant. The funds will be used to hire a planning consultant to develop a 10-20 year planning document which anticipates the impact of a replacement Tappan Zee Bridge.
