“A Small Act” in Nyack Helps An African Village
It takes a villages…to help another village. “A Small Act,” a Sundance Film Festival selection, will be presented at The Nyack Center on Friday night as a fundraiser for Maloto, a non-profit group that raises funds to support a school in Northeast Malawi in Africa.
Former Nyack High School student Mandy Berman’s “small act” was to spent three months in Malawi teaching English to students at the Mzuzu Academy.
