Nyack’s new part-time planner brings major league urban planning experience to the village. Bob Galvin, AICP will be working one day a week at Village Hall on projects including economic development activities, grant writing and marketing communications.

Nyack, Dec 30 — Nyack starts the new year with a new administration and new faces on the Village Board. There are also new appointees as deputy mayor and new chairpersons of the village planning and zoning boards.
At the January 4th reorganization meeting for the board, new trustee Doug Foster will be appointed Deputy Mayor. Peter Klose will head up the Planning Board and Catherine Friesen will chair the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). Eileen Kuster-Collins will continue as chairperson of Nyack’s Architectural Review Board.
Nyack’s Architectural Review Board will meet on Wednesday June 17 to hear public comments on the storefront facade at 17 N. Broadway, the former Ben Franklin Bookshop. Carol McIlmurray, CEO and President of The Romp Store, has applied to the board to make changes to the facade of the building.
