NYS Thruway Offers 20% Discount to Qualifying E-Z Pass Hybrid Owners

When Kermit the Frog croaked, "It's Not Easy Being Green," he never imagined the day when green would be mainstream. And now being green can put some "green" in your pocket, too.

E-Z Pass holders already save 10% over cash payers on the Thruway, and Toyota Prius and Honda Insight and Civic Hybrid owners can save an additional ten percent.

To get a Green Pass, owners of these vehicles need to send a letter with a copy of their registration to the E-ZPass New York Customer Service Center, P.O. Box 149004, Staten Island, New York 10314-9004.

We've created an easy to use form to make this as "easy" as possible (to date, the E-Z Pass Web site hasn't made this so easy).

This discount is only available to holders of the NYS E-Z Pass and is limited to Prius, Insight and Civic Hybrid owners.
